The Patriot Home Defense Body Armor set was designed to be used – as the name implies – in home defense. Whether you rent or own your home, this set allows you to be armed and armored in less than 10 seconds and ready to defend your home against intruders.
Our heat-tempered, mill-certified, military-grade steel plates meet NIJ specifications for Level III armor, providing multi-hit protection against ammunition up to 7.62 x 51 mm, 149-grain M80 FMJ rounds.
The Curved and Anti-Spall Coated front plate is designed to “catch” bullet spall, decreasing the risk of serious injuries.
The fully adjustable plate carrier accommodates our 10”x12” plates. The adjustable cummerbund (also removable) includes side plate pouches and allows you to adjust and fit the vest to your body. The low, offset, adjustable shoulder straps mean the front and rear plate pockets ride at the proper height, for a comfortable fit. The vest features plenty of PALS (Pouch Attachment Ladder System) webbing for attaching your MOLLE-compatible pouches, holsters, and accessories, and Velcro on the upper portion for placement of patches or other gear.
The combined weight of this set is approximately 22 lbs. Once properly fitted to your body (adjusting the shoulder and waist), the weight is evenly distributed for maximum comfort.

Met these guys at a Gunshow. They stand behind their product so, being in the industry myself, I traded for the full set. Holy shit… it feels heavy when in the hands but as soon as it’s strapped on it’s like a tank top. Feels like 10 lbs when really it’s probably more like 30 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
