Our heat-tempered, mill-certified, military-grade steel plates meet NIJ specifications for Level III armor, providing multi-hit protection against ammunition up to 7.62 x 51 mm, 149-grain M80 FMJ rounds.
The Curved and Anti-Spall Coated front plate is designed to “catch” bullet spall, decreasing the risk of serious injuries.
The fully adjustable plate carrier accommodates our 10”x12” plates. The adjustable cummerbund (also removable) includes side plate pouches and allows you to adjust and fit the vest to your body. The low, offset, adjustable shoulder straps mean the front and rear plate pockets ride at the proper height, for a comfortable fit. The vest features plenty of PALS (Pouch Attachment Ladder System) webbing for attaching your MOLLE-compatible pouches, holsters, and accessories, and Velcro on the upper portion for placement of patches or other gear.
The combined weight of this set is less than 25lbs. Once properly fitted (adjusting the shoulder and waist), the weight is evenly distributed for maximum comfort.
